Artificial Intelligence is already here. Lately, though, we’ve seen an explosive growth of AI-related projects.
While local Dublin’s Science Gallery offers visitors to pose for a group of portrait-drawing robots, Prisma App by Alexey Moiseenkov can re-draw any picture in one of the recognisable art styles.
Said to have more than a billion downloads for a five-day period, which has been hard on its servers, the app relies on the work of artificial neural networks. Sounds like a scary, future the one in which creative outlet is being outsourced to the Machine, isn’t it? However, the founder saves last word by humans. He is positive, that a human’s decision is needed after all processes are finished, whatever they deal with - speech recognition, video or picture processing.
At the moment, Prisma is only available for iPhone. Android owners, are you looking forward to download Android version?
